Adobe Illustrator CS3: Learning to Swim

If you finished Illustrator CS3: Getting Your Feet Wet and you want to know more, this is the class for you! This is the Level 2 class for users of Illustrator CS3 and takes up where the Getting Your Feet Wet class left off. We will refine some of the skills you’ve already learned, as well as add new ones to your Illustrator repertoire.

This class is DIY (Do it Yourself). It was originally written as an instructor led class, so you will find references to message boards and posting homework. DIY courses have no instructor support and you are not required to post any homework. There is no message board to ask questions, and certificates are not awarded for self-study courses. You can read more about how DIY classes work here.

Prerequisites

This class was written for Illustrator CS3. Most of it will also work with Illustrator CS and CS2.

Students must be familiar with their operating systems. This means you must know how to unzip files and open the file in Illustrator, you must understand what a menu is, and basic commands like copying and pasting, as well as Save and Save As.

You will need some sort of web presence to post homework. You can post them to your own web site or there are ideas here for more posting places: http://www.northlite.net/homework.htm

Enrollment:

Classes are $30 for a six week session. This class begins in January 2009 at Eclectic Academy!
