Windows and Mac
This class picks up where the first Collages and Composites class left off. We’ll be working on shadows and lighting, more masking, photo edges, and more tricks and tips to make your collage and composites one of a kind. Although this is not a scrapbooking class, the skills you learn here would be useful for digital scrapbooking as well as for making collages and composites.
Prerequisites:
Because this is a Level 2 class, there are previous class requirements. The completion of the first collage class, Photoshop Elements 3 and 4: Composites and Collages, is absolutely required for this class.
You must have Photoshop Elements 3 or 4 installed for Windows or Mac.
An understanding of your computer and operating system is required. You must know how to unzip a file and locate it and open it in Elements once you have unzipped it. You must understand the use of menus (File > Open, or any other command) and keyboard shortcuts. This means knowing how to use commands for your operating system, such as command + V means paste on the Mac and control + V means paste on the PC. You will have to know how to use keyboard shortcuts and menus, as well as palettes, and be able to open, close, and save files.
To post homework, you will have to be able to either build a simple webpage, or use one of the free web hosts or photo gallery sites. Ideas for free or low cost web space can be found here: http://www.northlite.net/homework.htm If you are really new to web pages then I suggest one of the gallery sites like Yahoo Photos which is free, or pbase (http://www.pbase.com), which is very reasonable. Neither of those options require you to know any html.
