This class is now
DIY

IMPORTANT: If you are using
Elements version 1 or 2, you should start with Elements
from the Ground Up, or continue with that series of classes.
Elements 3.0 is an all new version of your favorite image editing
software! Join me to see what's new if you have already been
using
Elements, or if you are new Elements, this is the place to
start! This class is for new users of Elements 3 or anyone upgrading
from a previous version. With many new features, even
previous users of Elements will want to start here to get up
to speed!
This new series of classes will be different that the Elements
classes for the previous versions. Get Up to Speed is the Level
1 class, and should be taken before the others as this class
will explain the interface and the new features.
Elements 3.0: Get Up to Speed will cover the
tools, palettes, and interface. In Elements 3.0 even the
interface has changed and now Photo Album is a part of Elements
rather than a separate program. This course will cover
some photo editing, some special effects, and look at the File
Browser and Album capabilities. This class will be an overview
to get you started using selections, layers, and the editing
tools. For anyone upgrading to Elements 3, you should start here
as it will cover all that is new, and even the interface has
changed. So even if you are very proficient in Elements already,
this class will get you up to speed on all that's new. This class
will be required for the next ones.
Prerequisites:
Students will need a copy of Elements
version 3
installed, and must be familiar with basic operating system
commands. You will also need a place to post homework. So you
can arrange
this before class, a list of free or low cost web space and free
or
low cost photo galleries can be found at
http://www.northlite.net/homework.htm
IMPORTANT: If you are using
Elements version 1 or 2, you should start
with Elements from the Ground Up,
or continue with that series of
classes.
