"The Cribs", which can be seen a few feet off shore west of the canal in Duluth, are the subject of much speculation as to their original use, but one of the least romantic stories is the truth...it is a sand and gravel hopper from the 1920's, not a casino or any of the other tales you might hear. It is also known as "Uncle Harvey's Mausoleum" for the man who's brainchild it originally was.
