Photoshop CS5 Special F/X: Tips, Tricks, and Pizzazz

LVS Online Join me for tricks and special effects (F/X) using Adobe Photoshop CS 5! We will talk about layer styles and how to create and save your own styles, and adding Actions to automate the program, as well as how to create your own actions, save them and share them with others. We’ll also learn about the new features in CS5: Puppet Warp, Content Aware Fill, and all about the new brush engine with Mixer Brushes and new bristle tips! This intermediate class is for Photoshop CS 5 only, and many exercises, tips, and tricks will not work with earlier versions of Photoshop or any version of Photoshop Elements.

Prerequisites:

This intermediate class is for both Mac and Windows users. You must have Photoshop CS 5 installed on your Mac or PC, and you must have a good working knowledge of Photoshop and how to use layers and text. You also must be familiar with your operating system commands, such as CTRL + C means copy on a PC and CMD + C means copy on a Mac. Basics classes are strongly recommended before taking this class as this class assumes knowledge of Photoshop selection tools, layers and text.

This course is only intended for Photoshop CS5; it is not guaranteed that exercises will work with prior versions of Photoshop or any version of Photoshop Elements; in fact most will not, because this course uses many features introduced in Photoshop CS5; therefore for best results in following this course, you will need to have Photoshop CS5 installed on your Mac or Windows computer.

Homework can be posted to your own site, or students have the option of using the Student Upload Area or free web hosting made available for LVS students. Details are provided in the classroom. There are also posting ideas here.
