Photos from Around the United States

Welcome to my photography pages. This group of photos was taken in various places in the US, other than Minnesota, where I live. I have the Minnesota ones on separate pages and these are from trips to other parts of the country, such as Chicago, Wisconsin, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee and Kansas.

You can find out about the Lions of Tsavo, now stuffed by man after stuffing themselves with same in the 1920's in Africa, on display at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. A couple of the Bridges of Madison County in Iowa (yes, the real ones!) are included. Visit Lake Erie's shore in Ohio, and travel down to the Okeefenokee Swamp in Georgia. The Wisconsin Dells offer some of the prettiest scenery in the upper midwest, and Tennessee in the east.

The links on the right are of other photo pages I've put together of my photography, and I hope you spend some time and enjoy those as well. This page was designed with Internet Explorer in mind so if you use Netscape (I've checked it in Netscape 4 and 6 beta), it won't look quite the same but it still works.

The winter photos were taken in Minnesota, and show the state at it's worst (or best, if you happen to be a skier!).

Lake Superior is the largest of the five Great Lakes and since we only live about 4 hours away we go there as often as we can. It is famous for it's rocky shoreline, cold water, quaint lighthouses and shipwrecks. Come explore it with me!

The Canadian photos were mostly taken around Niagara Falls and the Cambridge area, during family trips there. Niagara isn't the biggest waterfall in the world, but it is certainly one of the prettiest.

The Great Britain photos are ones I took in England and Scotland. My favorite is one of Stonehenge taken on a beautiful clear day. Here you'll find castles and dells, and Sir William Wallace (well, not him exactly but his sword!), and a few other things that caught my eye, like a lovely huge tree in the gardens at Scone Palace in Scone, Scotland with it's autumn colored branches touching the ground.

I hope you enjoy my little gallery as much as I enjoyed taking the photos!
